Charl Knitwear insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfilment by Charl Knitwear and transfer of responsibility in the same way.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY RETURN?
We offer free returns to customers within the UK, all orders outside the UK are responsible for the cost of shipping returns back to us.
TAXES AND DUTIES
Customers outside of the UK are responsible for all import duties and tax charges that may be applied by their local customs office on delivery to their country (there are no customs duties or additional VAT added to UK orders). Any Import duty or tax charges are out of our control and will be invoiced to you by DHL directly. If you are concerned about these charges, we recommend you contact your local customs authority prior to purchasing, in order to calculate the final landed price inclusive of all taxes.
From the 1st January 2021, in accordance to the new trade agreement between the U.K and the EU, customers in the EU and EEA will not have to pay any import duties if the products originate from the UK but are responsible for all tax and handling charges that may be applied by their local customs office on delivery. UK VAT is not charged for goods and services delivered outside of the U.K. For goods that do not originate from the U.K, EU customers will be responsible for the import duties. The tax and handling charges are out of our control and will be invoiced to you directly by DHL. These charges vary dependent on the country and if you are unsure we would recommend you contact your local customs office for more information.
Taxes & Duties
Taxes and duties are calculated according to your shipping destination. UK VAT will be applied to orders dispatched within the United Kingdom, excluding the Channel Islands. Local VAT will be applied to all other destinations.
Most countries are shipped to on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis, which means that all relevant import taxes and duties will be included in the final purchase price. If a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) destination is selected, product prices displayed are exclusive of all taxes and duties, as well as UK VAT. As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to; payment of these is necessary to release your order from customs on arrival.
We are happy to offer a refund on any unsuitable items within 28 days of purchase provided that they are unworn (re-saleable) and unwashed condition with the correct invoice, packaging and swing tag still attached. International customs duties, shipping costs and sales taxes are non-refundable for shipments outside of the UK.
