Delivery and Returns


All UK orders up to £100 will be delivered by Royal Mail First Class delivery. All UK orders over £100 will be delivered to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery on the next working day* and will also require your signature. Our shipping charges are as follows:

  • Delivery within the UK for orders of £100 and under (Royal Mail, tracked and signed, delivery within 3-4 working days) £5.00.
  • Delivery within the UK for orders over £100 (DHL delivery by end of the next working day) £10.00
  • Delivery to mainland Europe, the USA and Canada ( DHL delivery usually takes 3-4 working days) £30.00.
  • Delivery to the rest of the world £45.00

We will process your order within 2 working days with the exception of sale periods and bank holidays. Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch. We are not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes.

We are unable to redirect orders once items have been dispatched.

*orders to more remote parts of the UK may take slightly longer to arrive.


Charl Knitwear insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfilment by Charl Knitwear and transfer of responsibility in the same way.


Free UK return shipping. Rest of world: unless the item is faulty, as a small business we ask for your understanding that we do need to charge postage costs for return garments from outside of the UK.


Customers outside of the UK are responsible for all import duties and tax charges that may be applied by their local customs office on delivery to their country (there are no customs duties or additional VAT added to UK orders). Any Import duty or tax charges are out of our control and will be invoiced to you by DHL directly. If you are concerned about these charges, we recommend you contact your local customs authority prior to purchasing, in order to calculate the final landed price inclusive of all taxes. As the recipient, you are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you have asked us to ship to; payment of these is necessary to release your order from customs on arrival. 


From the 1st January 2021, in accordance to the new trade agreement between the U.K and the EU, customers in the EU and EEA will not have to pay any import duties if the products originate from the UK but are responsible for all tax and handling charges that may be applied by their local customs office on delivery. UK VAT is not charged for goods and services delivered outside of the U.K. For goods that do not originate from the U.K or the EU, customers will be responsible for the import duties. The tax and handling charges are out of our control and will be invoiced to you directly by DHL. These charges vary depending on the country and if you are unsure we would recommend you contact your local customs office for more information.


We are happy to offer a refund on any unsuitable items within 28 days of purchase provided that they are unworn (re-saleable) and unwashed condition with the correct invoice, packaging and swing tag still attached.  All un-damaged, correctly returned products will be credited to the original purchaser’s Apple Pay or Credit Card account including sales taxes for all shipments. International customs duties, shipping costs and sales taxes are non-refundable for shipments outside of the UK.

  • You must return the goods by a secure means.
  • We strongly recommend you obtain a free ‘Certificate of Posting’ from the Post Office, as we will not accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.
  • If you return your order and you live within the UK we will refund the delivery charge. Outside of the UK, in the cases of incorrect, damaged or faulty goods only, the delivery charge for a replacement to be sent out will not be charged.

There is no charge to exchange items for a different size, however all exchanges are based on stock availability. Shipping is free on the replacement item, but if you are based outside the UK you may need to pay taxes and duties on this.

Please note that we are only able to offer size exchanges. If you wish to exchange your item for an alternative style, we suggest that you return it for a refund and purchase the new piece separately.

Returns Process

For all returns we request that you contact us at :  in relation to such returns. Please note that we do not accept liability for goods that are not returned via secure means.

  • Take the parcel to the Post Office or arrange collection via a trackable courier service. You will be issued with a receipt and tracking number, which should be retained until the refund is processed.

Upon receipt of the returned items the refund will be credited back onto your payment card. Charl Knitwear will endeavour to process your return within 2 working days.

Cancelling an order

If you would like to cancel your order before you have received the goods please contact us as soon as possible at so that we can attempt to stop delivery. If your order has already been dispatched we will charge you for the delivery as this part of the transaction has been completed.

The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 were introduced to reduce the risk of shopping online. If you would like to cancel your order under this legislation, please notify us in writing by e-mail within 7 working days after you have received the goods that you wish to cancel your order. You will be asked to return the items in good condition via post.


Your refund will be credited to the original purchaser’s card/ Apple Pay account and will only include shipping costs for faulty items.

If your order has been sent to a destination within the UK, all sales taxes will be refunded. Outside the UK, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable through Charl Knitwear. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly. As this may not be available for all countries, we recommend that you hire a customs broker if you wish to claim back duties on returned merchandise.

Please note refunds may take up to 10 business days to complete, depending on their processing time. Unfortunately we are unable to influence this.
