Inspired by the luxurious craftsmanship of classic Italian knitwear, mixed with iconic Norfolk heritage stitches, the Salter Crew Neck Jumper is knitted in Italy from the softest Peruvian Alpaca yarn.

Available in two sizes and two colours, this extremely soft jumper can be worn on its own, or layered to create a day-to-evening outfit. The natural drape of the yarn flatters the body and gives it an easy elegance which works perfectly on occasions when you want to feel a  bit more refined.

The 100% Peruvian alpaca used to knit this group is of the highest quality. It comes from a mill which has been supporting local families through its Social Responsibility Program for nearly 60 years.  The yarn is “OEKO TEX standard 100”. The natural shade of Hailstone Grey is undyed which means it consumes far less water than other colours.

This piece has been fully fashioned in a traditional fisherman’s rib with a herringbone motif at the welt and front shoulder detailing which is reminiscent of classic Italian knitwear of the 1960s. The sleeves are parallel in width so that they create an elongated flattering silhouette. The welt is stepped with side splits for easy tucking and the jumper drapes from the neat-fitting shoulders to creating a extremely flattering silhouette which looks fantastic paired with tailored trousers or belted at the waist.

The group is named after George “Salter” Farrow a Sheringham fisherman who is fondly remembered for claiming to have been chased in his boat by a giant seal!
