Winterton T Shirt in Dark Navy

The Winterton T shirt in darkest Navy Blue features a knitted anchor motif on the over-sized patch pocket. Made in England from GOTS certified organic cotton.  This knit  is lighter in weight than the WEST group, and can be worn layered under other pieces in springtime or on its own in the summer. The weight is like a compact cotton jersey or sweatshirt.

The fit is light and boxy with a clean, crew neck collar and sloped shoulders. It is slightly shorter in length than my usual knits – perfection worn with higher waisted trousers like the Winterton Culottes as part of a “beach pyjama” set. Ideal for “après swim” or holiday travel due to the softness and warmth of the natural fibres – a sophisticated alternative to the tracksuit. The sleeves finish just above the elbow, making them flattering for all arm shapes. The trims are knitted in a deep tubular, reminiscent of a traditional T shirt. The patch pocket is oversized and features a tonal knitted anchor motif, drawn from the brand’s nautical heritage.

This group is named after an original Gansey jumper which was kitted in Winterton, Norfolk by “Cazey” Goffin and featured the “anchor” motif on its top half.
