The Esther scarf knitted in a “fishing net” open work stitch in Italy using 100% certified British wool.
This piece is named after Esther Nurse, a prominent Gansey knitter from Sheringham during the first half of the 20th century. Women didn’t wear the jumpers they knitted but they always had a hand-made shawl which they wore to church on a Sunday, this piece is inspired by these patterns.
The Esther scarf is a light weight, extra-long scarf which can be wrapped several times.
