The Winterton Culottes in darkest Navy Blue are ancle skimming, wide leg trousers that pull on with an elasticated waist band. They feature a small knitted anchor motif on the side patch pocket and are made in England from the finest 54% merino and 46% OEKO-TEX certified cotton yarn which matches the Winterton T shirt. This special blend is second to none for comfort and memory (they won’t loose their shape).
These culottes have been a long time in the making and we’re so proud of them! They have been knitted in a compact knit which is dense enough to hide any lumps or bumps and they can be pulled on over the hips with a reassuringly comfortable and supportive waistband. The length is very flattering too, skimming the ancles which looks so pretty worn with ballet pumps or sandals. These are the ultimate trousers to pull on after a dip in the pool or the sea, for a touch of “après swim” chic and look fantastic worn with the Winterton T shirt as part of a “beach pyjama” set. (The’re also really comfortable to travel in as they don’t crease!)
This group is named after an original Gansey jumper which was kitted in Winterton, Norfolk by “Cazey” Goffin and featured the “anchor” motif on its top half.
Description
The yarn for this style has been spun to order in Italy from a very high quality Oeko-Tex certified Pima cotton (46%) and mulesing free extrafine merino (54%) blend, then knitted in Nottinghamshire. It is tightly twisted to minimise the risk of pilling and ensure colourfastness. The high merino wool content means it won’t loose its shape over time, but it will spring back when steamed or washed. It comes in three sizes: XS/S (to fit a women’s size 8-10), S/M (to fit a women’s size 10-12) and M/L (to fit a women’s size 12-14).

MEASUREMENTS:
Size XS/S measures 82cm along the outside leg length (excl. waist band). 34cm wide at the waist (measured on the flat), front rise is 25cm and the back is 33cm, thigh width (measured flat) is 31cm and 27.5cm at leg opening width (measured flat)
Size S/M measures 84cm along the outside leg length (excl. waist band). 37cm wide at the waist (measured on the flat), the front rise measures 26cm and the back measures 34cm, the thigh width (measured flat) is 32.5cm and 29cm at leg opening width (measured flat)
Size M/L measures 86cm along the outside leg length (excl. waist band). 40cm wide at the waist (measured on the flat), front rise measures 27cm and the back rise measures 35cm, the thigh width (measured flat) is 34cm and 30.5cm at leg opening width (measured flat)
The culottes have no external side seam which meas they have a very smooth shape, the front and back rise are neat fitting without being tight.
Model Lydia is 5’6′ and wears the S/M. Order your true size for the perfect fit.
