Inspired by the luxurious craftsmanship of classic Italian knitwear, mixed with iconic Norfolk heritage stitches, the Salter Tank Top is knitted in Italy from the finest Peruvian Alpaca yarn.

Available in two sizes and three colours, this extremely soft underpinning piece can be worn on its own, or layered to create a day-to-evening outfit. The natural drape of the yarn flatters the body and gives it an easy elegance which works perfectly on occasions when you want to feel a little bit more refined.

This is the highest quality 100% Peruvian alpaca that comes from a mill which has been supporting local families through its Social Responsibility Programs for nearly 60 years.  The yarn has been certified as  “OEKO TEX standard 100″and the natural shades of Toffee Apple and Hailstone Grey are undyed – meaning they consume far less water than other colours.

This group has been fully fashioned in a traditional fisherman’s rib with a herringbone motif at the welt, and front shoulder detailing  reminiscent of classic Italian knitwear of the 1960s.

The group is named after George “Salter” Farrow a Sheringham fisherman who is fondly remembered for claiming to have been chased in his boat by a giant seal!
